I'm on my 3rd one. In 2 months.
1st: My first one was a Polar F4 that I bought from Dick's Sporting Goods 1.5 months ago. The interface is AWESOME. 1-button to set everything up and whatnot. Then it broke? I left it in my truck 1-2 days in the HOT BLAZING FLORIDA SUN, I think that's what ruined it. Back to Dick's!
Lesson learned: NO MORE LEAVING THEM IN MY TRUCK
2nd: Bought a Timex Ironman 30-Lap, broke after 1 pool use. It's good for 50M. Why'd it break? Oops, I hit a button while it was under water, I guess that's what did it in. Poor thing. Back to Dick's!
Lesson Learned: DONT BUY THINGS FROM COMPANIES THAT DON'T SPECIALIZE IN WHAT THEYRE SELLING. If Sony came out with a Car, would you buy it or would you buy one from Ford/GM that's been around forever?
3rd: Well, I put in an extra $20 and got the Polar F6 @ Dick's for 109$. Let's see how this one holds up.
Morale of my story: BUY POLAR!

6/22/07 - Training Day (#xx)
I'm not sure if I pulled my hamstring or if it was over -extended during the biking last week. I've been using ICY-HOT and a cold-pack every night.
The training plan I started roughly 4 weeks ago is for volume building.
Each week has been a +10% increase then the previous.
This week though is the -40% decrease as a sort of -- rest week.
So next week, I'll pick it up hardcore again with the showing what i've eaten and whatnot. I need to eat better too. Ill try a new diet starting next week too.

I'm still here
I realize I missed 2-3 days worth of tracking, but things get lost in translation and my heart-rate monitor doesnt record the past 10 days of training (it DOES however record the aggregation of the past 10-20 days). Not very helpful if I miss a day.
I've been taking some metrics on how long it takes me tocreate a full post and it's at about 7-10min. That's alot of time. Need to fix this. Stay posted, hopefully I can come up with some faster method for posting information like what i've been posting.
I notice that alot of people that train like to keep diaries like the one I've been keeping (where do you think I got the format for mine?) heh. But I do notice that they slack too. And the root of evil I assume is just the whole "formatting" issues with listing out what you do and when blah blah blah.
Hopefully I can come up with a solution to remedy this -- soon.

Milk, does the body good
Neat link that Ashley sent me:

It goes over some marketing for Publix brand milk, but has some neat facts at the bottom. I like the one that says something about Chocolate Milk is a better choice over a sports-drink when workingout (or after working out).

Lack of ... something?
OK, the past few days I've managed to screw up and not notate what i've done, but I can assure you I've been doing something!
Like I said, I have to figure out a better way to enter the stuff into here. Maybe a CSS Template or something for me, cause this sucks. It's not easy for me to update. I'll look into maybe blogger.com's API's to make a little desktop application to enter my info quickly. So I don't miss anything.
Also, swim lessons are needed -- soon. I know how to swim, but I want to make sure I get all the strokes down so I can work the different muscles while training. I don't want to do free-style constantly since that's not good; might hurt myself doing that the whole time.

Slacker!
I've been SLACKING on keeping track of what I eat and whatnot for the past 2-3 workouts. Man!
I need something easier -- this is annoying! So I'm thinking about building a little webapplication that will make it easier for me. Of course, I'll distribute it to anyone that wants it. It'll take a while to build though unfortunately. But damnit, there's gotta be a better way!
I'll keep you all posted.
